home care support in Derbyshire

Assistance with Personal Care
Including help getting up, getting dressed, washing, bathing, washing hair, help going to the toilet or emptying commodes, catheter assistance, P.E.G Feeding, getting undressed, going to bed. We can complete bowel/urine charts, nutritional charts, etc for other professionals if required.

Companionship
Both at home and out and about. Rather than go to luncheon clubs, some of our clients may choose to take a regular Support Worker out for lunch or have a sit in service where hobbies and interests are pursued. Clients then get one on one conversation and build up a trusting relationship, leading to any worries being addressed more quickly.

Assistance on outings
Either socially or to appointments. We accompany clients to the hospital for appointments. Our staff can take you out in their own car (having business insurance on their car is a condition of employment) and as long as you have a blue badge, they can park in the many disabled spaces throughout the city.

Assistance with medication and collection of prescriptions
All of our staff are trained to support our clients with prescribed medications. An assessment of support required is completed regularly.

Shopping
We can either go shopping for you or with you - and help you put it away!

Pet Care
We can even help you look after your pets as we know how important these are to you.

Domestic assistance
Including laundry, ironing, light cleaning such as hoovering and dusting, changing beds and assistance for preparation of family members coming to visit.

Respite
We can look after clients at home whilst family members/carers go on their holiday or away for a much needed break. This saves having to go in residential or nursing care.

Home from Hospital
We can help you re-enable yourself on returning home from an operation.

Nightcare
We can ‘sleep over’ to give you peace of mind or we can provide ‘sit ups’ where our staff will work the night turning individuals regularly or keeping their eye on clients who have a condition such as dementia.

End of life care
We have a number of staff trained in this area now with it becoming part of our mandatory training for all staff.

Family / Carer support
We work with many families and Carers, assisting them to rest and offer our support and advice whenever they require it. We have a 24 Hour Emergency Line for support to both staff and our clients.
